Step through a dark doorway into a shadowy supernatural world as you become part of a sinister show in the time honoured tradition of the Victorian ghost story.
Watch events unfold as you witness what happens when you disturb ancient places searching for secrets. Because: there's always a price for digging up the past...

THE SHOW: Ghost Stories
Take your place in the audience and witness a show featuring actors, storytelling, music and SFX to tell an unforgettable Halloween tale set inside the haunted 11th century church.
FEELING PECKISH? Hot food & refreshments
The evening's show will be in two acts with a 15-minute interval. Hot drinks and snack food will be available to buy either before, during or after the main performance.
WANT TO STAY THE NIGHT?

DRESS CODE
The show is set in a medieval church, with parts dating from the 1100s, and will be unheated. Please wear appropriate clothing. Also: seating is upon church pews. Though there are seat pads, please feel free to bring additional cushions for added comfort.

HAUNTED STAYOVER PRIZE DRAW
Upon the 1st October 2023, we will be drawing one winner from all named guests booked onto this event to win an overnight stay for two people in the nave of St Mary's. Your beds will be set in the shadow of the grand altar – ready for you to spend a scary night's stay.
The draw will take place on Sunday 1st October 2023 and the winner's will then have three weeks' notice. We will send full details then. Please opt out of the prize draw when you book to not be entered into the free prize draw. Full Ts&Cs can be sent on request.

Called “Champing”, this is the unique concept of camping overnight in historic churches, brought to the world by The Churches Conservation Trust, the national charity protecting historic churches at risk. Hundreds of happy Champers have stayed in our churches and have delighted in having exclusive use of an ancient space for the night. And by supporting Champing, you’re also helping to preserve these ancient spaces for the future.

The show is for mature audiences. All guests must be 16+.
If under 18, must be accompanied by an adult.
No tickets will be issued. Just your name added to the exclusive guest list.
Full details of the event, parking and final instructions will be sent at least
two weeks prior to the event.
There is step-free access to the church grounds, church and seating area.
